I love olives!

Provence olives to be precise.  While taking a walk through central’s wet market on my way to the bookattic I stumbled into this shop which specializes in olives and olive products from the Provence region of France.

Walking into the store you are instantly greeted and a feeling if comfort washes over you (especially after being shouted at on all sides in the wet market).   The store’s centerpiece is a tasting table overlooked by an olive oil “organ” where you can make a blend from different orchards to suit your tastes.

They also carry whole olives (pictured above) which surprised me with their abondance of flavor.  The prices are reasonable with the bottle of olives coming in at 95HKD.

Probably my favorite thing about this shop at 39 Graham Street was the genuine hospitality offered by the kind and knowledgeable staff.

So next time you’re wondering what to finish off your tuna nicoise with, drop into the wet market to pick up your gourmet single farm olive oil, and perhaps a bottle of their Provence Rose’ while the summer is still at its ripest.
